Abbotsford, BC – The 18th Annual Miri Piri Wrestling Championship concluded over the weekend, marking its most successful event to date. With over 300 young wrestlers from Grade 1 to Grade 12, the competition showcased immense talent and sportsmanship. Nearly 30 wrestling clubs participated, hailing from Vancouver Island, Kelowna, Bella Coola, and even Calgary, Alberta.
The tournament brought the community together, with volunteers, parents, and supporters contributing to its success. Organizers expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support that made the event a standout moment in the local sports calendar.
“This year was truly special. The level of competition was outstanding, and the support from our community was incredible,” said an event spokesperson.
