Burnaby residents and craft enthusiasts will have a rare opportunity to learn the centuries-old Japanese art of Mizuhiki at a hands-on workshop on Sunday, March 2, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Hosted by the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, this workshop will explore the intricate and symbolic world of Mizuhiki, a traditional decorative knotting technique made from washi paper.

A Craft Rooted in Tradition

With a history spanning over 1,200 years, Mizuhiki has long been an essential part of Japanese culture.
