On Friday, March 7, 2025, the 11th Anniversary of Think Global Link Local (TGLL) will take place at the Holiday Inn Vancouver – Centre (Broadway), offering an unparalleled opportunity for young professionals to connect with leaders in the fields of international development, public service, and social impact. Hosted by the United Nations Association in Canada – Vancouver (UNAC-Vancouver) and Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), this event will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST, and will feature a series of thought-provoking sessions designed to inspire the next generation of changemakers.

Discover Career Paths in Social Impact

TGLL 2025 is a must-attend event for anyone interested in pursuing a career in public service, humanitarian aid, human rights, and related fields. The event will provide an exclusive platform for young professionals to engage with experienced practitioners and learn about career opportunities within non-profit organizations, the United Nations, and other global organizations. This year, the keynote speaker is Leilani Farha, a renowned lawyer and the Global Director of The Shift, an NGO focused on the right to housing. Farha, who served as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Housing as a Human Right from 2014 to 2020, will share her wealth of knowledge on human rights and the global housing crisis.

Keynote Speaker and Networking Opportunities

The event will feature networking opportunities with over 150 recent graduates and 15-20 non-profit organizations dedicated to social impact. Attendees will hear from prominent speakers and gain insights into various career paths available in both Canadian and international contexts. In addition to Farha’s keynote, attendees will have the chance to participate in an exclusive coffee and dialogue session with members of the UNAC-Vancouver Executive Board, providing a rare opportunity to engage in intimate conversations with leaders who have made significant contributions to the UN and other socially active organizations.
