Burnaby, BC – March 1, 2025 – The BCIT Planetarium is set to host a spectacular night of laser, light, and sound with the return of Roundhouse Productions’ VidLaser Shows. Attendees will experience 360° immersive visuals, RGB laser projections, and full concert surround sound, choreographed live to legendary rock albums.
Since 1978, Roundhouse Productions Inc. has been at the forefront of planetarium laser shows, and now, with an upgraded VidLaser system, they are bringing back their high-energy multimedia experience to Metro Vancouver.

7:10 PM – Phantom of the Universe (Free Show)
- A free astronomy presentation exploring the mysteries of dark matter, narrated by Tilda Swinton, with music by Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead.
- Free admission for ages 12 & under.

8:05 PM – VidLaser Zeppelin (New Show)
- A brand-new laser and video experience, three years in the making.
- Features 360° full-dome video captured in Iceland, the Cote d’Azur, and Italy, with immersive 360° animation from top Vancouver creators.
- Multiple RGB lasers blend 1978’s original laser imagery with cutting-edge digital effects.
9:05 PM – VidLaser Dark Side of the Moon
- Pink Floyd’s legendary album set against a real-time 360° space environment.
- Features multiple RGB lasers, classic analog and digital star projectors, and deep space visuals choreographed in real-time.
10:15 PM – VidLaser Gorillaz or Radiohead (By Request Show)
- Fans can choose between Gorillaz or Radiohead, as the late show alternates each date.
- A live-choreographed fusion of 360° lasers, immersive video, and surround sound.
